General Information
What
are the terms of payment and acceptable forms of payment?
Payment is due in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank. In Canada, GST must be
added. Applicable United States state and local taxes must be added to all Current
Protocols orders.
Following are acceptable forms of payment:

Purchase Order: We will bill and ship against a purchase order
What is the returns policy?
Current Protocols publications may be examined for 30 days. If you decide to
keep the publication, simply pay the invoice. If for any reason, you decide
it does not meet your needs, you may return the publication without further
obligation. Outside the United States, prepayment is required on all Current
Protocols orders. Prepaid orders may be returned for a full refund within 30
days of receipt.
If after your 30 day examination, you wish to return your Current Protocols
purchase, please return it to:

Whom should I contact for orders, inquiries and customer
service claims?

When contacting customer service, please have your account number, full name
and address of recipient, and payment information available.
When should I expect to receive my publication after
I place an order?
Please allow four weeks from the time the order is placed. Delivery time may
be longer for certain destinations outside the United States. If you do have
an order that requires special handling please contact customer service and
we will try to accommodate your special needs.
Orders shipped within the United States are sent UPS ground. Orders outside
the United States are shipped via air service. It is extremely helpful to have
the name of an individual on the shipping label to ensure receipt. For international
orders we must have a phone or fax number to ensure delivery.
How will I be invoiced?
Invoices are mailed separately from the publication. In general invoices arrive
on or about the same time as the publications, however, on occasion, invoices
may precede the publication.

How do I renew a subscription? What if my subscription
has already lapsed?
Before your current subscription expires, you will receive an invoice for a
one-year renewal. Current Protocols does not accept standing orders. Payment
is needed to commence your renewal.
If your subscription is more than one year out of date, please contact customer
service for information about our late subscriber offer.
We do not generally sell supplements separately. If you are an up-to-date subscriber
and you are missing a particular page or supplement, contact customer service.

Looseleaf Publications
What is included in a Current Protocols looseleaf subscription?
The initial shipment consists of: binder(s), contents (all information published
to date), tabs and page protectors. In some cases the initial shipment will
include supplement updates that subscribers will have to file into the main
work. After the initial shipment, subscribers receive four quarterly or six
bimonthly updates as part of their one-year subscription (new subscribers may
also purchase a two or three-year subscription). Towards the end of their subscription,
subscribers are invoiced for an annual renewal that entitles them to another
year of updates.
NOTE: Subscribers may not purchase individual volumes or chapters.
CD-ROM and Other Electronic Publications
What electronic formats are available?
1) CD-ROM for single users
2) Network version of Current Protocols on CD-ROM for up to 40 workstations
3) CP Intranet
Which electronic format best meets my needs?
- Current Protocols single-user CD-ROM provides you with access to Current
Protocols at any single workstation of your choice.
- The Network version of Current Protocols allows small clusters of up to
40 workstations within a laboratory or department access to Current Protocols
on CD-ROM. Individual users don't have to concern themselves with loading
software, registration numbers or key codes - the network administrator loads
the proprietary client software all from one central location.
- CP Intranet provides an entire institutional site with access to
Current Protocols content from any workstation. CP Intranet is currently available
for institutional sites with Windows NT Servers. CP Intranet is easily
installed on the institution's file sever and doesn't require proprietary
client software to be installed on individual workstations. Users call up
the content with their web browsers-no need to learn new software-and don't
have to contend with the slow response times sometimes associated with the
Internet.
What is included in a Current Protocols CD-ROM subscription?
The initial shipment consists of: CD, user's manual and its contents, and key
codes. Subscribers must have the key codes to unlock the publications they have
purchased. All Current Protocols publications are available on the same disc,
however, you can only access those publications you have purchased. After subscribers
receive the initial shipment, they receive four quarterly update discs as part
of their one-year subscription. Each disc is timed to expire sixty days after
the arrival of the next quarterly update so that the subscriber only has one
active disc at one time.
Towards the end of their subscription, subscribers are invoiced for an annual
renewal that entitles them to four more quarterly updates.

What are the hardware/software requirements for CD-ROM?
PC 386 or higher (except 386sx) 4 MB RAM (8 MB recommended) 6 MB available
hard disk space Windows 3.1 or higher, including Windows 95 and Windows NT VGA
or better monitor (SVGA with 256-color screen driver highly recommended)

Customers Outside of the United States
Do I pay local tax?
In Canada, customers must add GST to their orders. Other than for Canada,
OneSource4Media does not collect any tax on orders outside of the United States. Customers are,
however, responsible for paying any customs fees or local import taxes that
may be levied by their own governments.
