The increasing complexity
of communications systems has rendered traditional design tools like
mathematical analysis and laboratory breadboards nearly obsolete. It has
become necessary to simulate communications systems on computer. STAEDT™, Simulation Tools for Analysis and
Evaluation of Data-Signal Transmission, is a simulation program created for
communications engineers who work with transmission or storage of data
signals. With STAEDT, engineers can create working models of communications
set-ups.
This two volume set,
written y the creaors of STAEDT, will guide
communications professionals through the program. The first volume is a
textbook which explains simulation principles and modeling in great detail,
providing a background for performing useful engineering simulations. Volume
two is comprised of the reference manual for the program, as well as disks
for the program itself.
A must for
designers, practicing engineers, and graduate students, the STAEDT program
will:
· Provide valid models of
signal processes
· Provide flexibility
through using modules
· Simulate various system
elements
· Explore alternative
models
· Speed up the entire
process to a matter of hours over days, and much more.
System Requirements:
IBM compatible pesonal computers under the DOS
operating system.
The complete program
includes: Two (2) 3.5-inch Installation Disks, and one (1) User’s Guide.
