Work Set View
- Real-time data collection and control charting. Enter data directly
from gages or through a keyboard.
- Automatic user identification
- Automatic date/time stamp
- Easy-to-read color-coded specification checks on all entered data.
Data within specifications turns the display green, with the height
of the bar indicating the relative position of the data point within
the specifications.
- If the data value is not within specifications, the bar chart display
turns red.
- Assign traceability fields quickly using drop-down menus
- Data-entry validation displays warnings if the entered data value
exceeds the upper or lower specifications, a factor of specification,
or a user-defined value.
- Data-entry prefix saves time with less typing
- Import function brings ASCII and SPC-PC IV data files into Shop Floor
Pro.
- Auto-advance to the next characteristic or access characteristics
via tabs.
- Subgroup sizes are user definable and range from one to twenty, depending

optional histogram and summary statistics window. The summary statistics
may also be custom configured to best suit your specific information
requirements.
- Control limits may be based on the plotted data or defined by the
user.
- You may also choose to use either a Normal distribution or a Johnson
distribution to define the Individual-X control limits, as well as the
curve displayed in the histogram and the process capability indices
calculations.
- Large Display of Gage Readings allows users to displaced from the
computer and still easily view the reading. The background color is
green when in specification and red when out of specification.
Explorer View
- Shop Floor Pros Explorer View is similar to the directory tree
view in Microsoft® Windows Explorer. Tree structure on the left
pane and charts on the right pane allow for effortless navigation of
the database.
- Explorer View allows for convenient viewing, adding and editing of
all Work Sets, Processes, Characteristics, Users, Reports, Gages, and
Analyses in the database.
- Predefined Work Sets can be easily created with up to 255 characteristics
per Work Set.
- The ability to "drag and drop" allows for quick and easy
copying and pasting of characteristics.
- Enter data off-line using a spreadsheet interface. Use the spreadsheet
to enter historical data.
- Analyze data using different charts and sample sizes than were used
in data collection.
- Tool bar of commonly used functions.
Process Monitoring and Traceability
- Password protected login and ability to define user privilege levels
for 34 functions
- Color-coded icons in the Process Monitor Chart allow supervisors to
track many processes in a single view
- Automatic refresh of Work Sets and analysis windows, allowing users
to view changes to a chart that another user is editing.
- Draw color-coded X-bar and Individual-X Charts to monitor data values
in relation to warning limits.
- Shop Floor Pro provides list boxes for specifying an Assignable Cause
and/or Corrective Action.
- Shop Floor Pro labels points on charts with shapes and colors based
on traceability field items and provides legend for interpretation.
- Create Pareto and Pie charts on traceability fields.

Networking and Database Access
- Shop Floor Pro uses an Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant database.
This single database can be accessed by multiple work stations for convenient
real-time data entry, as well as by other applications via the ODBC standard
for more detailed analysis.
- Import ASCII and SPC PC IV files.
- Import data from any ODBC-compliant database or spreadsheet, including
MS-Access, SQL Server, and MS Excel.
- You can set up multiple databases, such as for different process lines
within the plant. These can be either MS-Access databases (included with
the software), SQL Server databases (available as an option), or a combination
of both.
